About
Hi, I’m Christine Schut, owner of Cherry Tree Behavioral Health.
I have been licensed in the State of Alaska since February 2026 after completing 3000 hours of supervised clinical work, specializing in evidence-based trauma therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Alternatives for Families Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR. All these treatments have been adapted to teletherapy and are effective in a virtual format.
I have worked with children who have been sexually or physically abused, and parents learning how to support their child and process their own feelings. I want to be the therapist that I needed as a youth. Whether it is unresolved grief, sexual assault, or problematic sexual behavior in one of your children, evidence-based trauma therapy can help by learning coping strategies to live a more content life.
My approach to teletherapy is to provide you with a confidential and secure format for trauma-focused therapy. Each client will have treatment tailored to their needs, using evidence-based modalities.
Outside of the virtual office, I enjoy gardening and am a proud Master Gardener. I like to grow vegetables to give away. It makes me happy to give fresh vegetables to folks who don’t have a space to garden. I read a lot, mostly gigantic books about historical figures that make other people groan with boredom. I have a cat, and I like cheese.
